The Vineyard
As you approach Mediterraneo, you can’t help but notice a piece of culinary paradise rising from the corner of Lakeview Canyon and Agoura Roads. This is our vineyard, more than an acre containing 550 syrah, cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon vines, over twenty fruit-bearing Manzanilla olive trees, and a thriving herb and vegetable garden.
The Vineyard provides more than Chef Alberto’s fresh basil, oregano, rosemary, tomatoes, late season corn and soon, wine and olive oil. It’s a symbol of our dedication to using the freshest, locally grown ingredients available and, as our owner says, "bringing a bit of the country back into the city."
Mediterraneo is the only restaurant in Ventura County, and one of the few in all of California, to have its very own working vineyard on-site.
